GDD Character Abilities & Controls

The abilities and controls of the character would be picking up and placing parts into the blaster as well as using basic tools. For instance it could be a glorified shape matcher where a certain part looks like it would fit in a certain section. In addition to that, grabbing a screwdriver to loosen and tighten screws to secure parts of the blaster. The mouse or track pad on a computer can be held down to grab and move the object then released to place it down. The left and right arrow keys could be used to turn the screwdriver counter clockwise and clockwise respectively. As far as firing the blaster depending on the type of priming mechanism they could use the mouse and track pad to perform a motion similar to reality. For instance if it’s bolt action the player could press on the bolt move it upward, back, then return it to fire. To fire the blaster they could press enter for it to fire. They could use the mouse or track pad to look around as long as they don’t click down. They could aim with the space bar.

Continuing from previous entries. There are limited functions and abilities the player can perform but each one adds a subtle element that makes the overall experience more enjoyable and thorough. The player can aim the blaster, fire it, look around, jump, and run. While it seems simple they’re are small details to the visuals that are quite appealing to look at while said actions are being performed.
